Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit to 416Skin — bookings, consultations, packages, and more.
How do I book an appointment at 416Skin?
You may reserve your visit online through Fresha, or contact us directly via phone or text at 647-373-0575. For advanced bookings scheduled several weeks ahead, we recommend reaching out via email. Our team will be glad to assist you in scheduling your preferred date and time, subject to availability.

New clients are asked to complete a short consultation form before their first session so we can tailor the treatment to your skin type, medical history, and goals. If you're booking a multi-step service (for example, a facial and a body contouring session in one visit), let us know in the booking notes — we'll set aside the right room and the right product set in advance. Same-day bookings are sometimes possible, but we recommend reserving early to lock in your preferred practitioner at our 1215 St Clair Ave W studio in Toronto.
Do you accept walk-ins?
At this time, we do not accept walk-ins. Our studio operates by appointment only, as we are a boutique practice dedicated to providing a personalized, one-on-one experience. This allows us to give each client our full attention in a private and relaxing environment.

Booking ahead also ensures the treatment room is properly prepared and sanitized between sessions. If you're walking past our Corso Italia studio and would like to learn more, we'd love to chat — but the treatment itself will need to be booked for a separate visit. Same-day appointments are sometimes available; the easiest way to find out is to call or text 647-373-0575, or check live availability on our Fresha booking page. We typically suggest booking 3–5 days ahead for popular weekend times to lock in the practitioner, room, and time slot that works best for your treatment.
Do I need to complete a consultation form before my treatment?
Yes, all clients are required to complete a detailed consultation form prior to their appointment. This ensures your practitioner is fully informed of your medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals, allowing us to deliver a safe, personalized, and results-driven experience customized exclusively to you.
More detail Hide detail
The form covers current medications, recent procedures, allergies, pregnancy status, and any contraindications — all of which directly affect which protocols, products, and energy settings are safe and appropriate for you. New clients receive the form via email after booking, and you're welcome to complete it in advance or arrive 10 minutes early to fill it out in studio. Returning clients only need to update the form when something changes. The consultation also includes a brief one-on-one conversation so your practitioner can confirm everything in person and answer any questions before treatment begins. This step is the foundation of every safe, personalized session at 416Skin in Toronto.
How many treatment sessions will I need to see results?
The number of sessions required varies depending on your individual needs, current condition, and desired outcome. While some clients notice results after a single visit, a series of treatments is often recommended for optimal, long-lasting results. Your practitioner will provide a customized treatment plan designed to align with your goals, particularly for services such as massage therapy, body contouring, skincare and advanced treatments.

As a rough guide: facials show their best results when repeated every 4–6 weeks; body contouring typically runs 4–8 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart; laser hair removal generally requires 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart depending on the body area; advanced skincare protocols (peels, microneedling) are usually scheduled in series of 3–6 every 3–4 weeks. Your practitioner will also flag the right at-home products and aftercare so the results from each 416Skin session continue working between visits, which often allows you to extend the gap between maintenance treatments.
How many sessions will I need for body contouring?
The number of body contouring sessions required varies depending on individual goals, the treatment area, and the body's natural response to the procedure. Most clients benefit from a series of treatments, typically ranging from 4 to 8 sessions, spaced several weeks apart for optimal results. During your consultation, we will assess your needs and create a customized treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

Targeted areas such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs often respond best to packages of 6–8 sessions, while smaller areas can show meaningful change after 4. Results are gradual and cumulative — measurements taken before and after the series usually tell a clearer story than week-to-week changes. During your consultation, we'll recommend whether ultrasound cavitation, radiofrequency, lymphatic drainage, or a combination protocol best fits your goals, and build a session schedule that works around your life. Your 416Skin practitioner also coaches you on hydration, movement, and nutrition habits that meaningfully extend the effects between visits.
What is radiofrequency (RF)?
Radiofrequency (RF) is a non-invasive aesthetic technology that uses controlled energy to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to improve skin firmness, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and enhance overall skin texture. RF treatments are widely used for skin tightening and rejuvenation, offering a comfortable and effective solution with little to no downtime.

Technically, RF energy targets the dermis and the subcutaneous fascia. The controlled heating triggers a wound-healing response that recruits new collagen over the following weeks, which is why results continue to improve well after the session itself. RF is widely used for skin tightening on the face, neck, abdomen, and thighs, and pairs well with body contouring protocols where firmer skin is part of the desired outcome. A typical session is comfortable — most clients describe it as a warm massage — and there's no required downtime, so you can return to normal activity the same day. At 416Skin, RF is built into several signature face and body protocols.
Who is a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is most effective for individuals with darker hair, as the laser targets pigment within the hair follicle. Ideal candidates are those seeking a long-term reduction in unwanted hair. It is important to note that laser treatments are generally not effective on hair that lacks sufficient pigment, such as white, gray, or very light blonde hair. A consultation is recommended to determine if this treatment is suitable for your specific hair and skin type.

Best candidates also commit to the full series — typically 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart depending on the body area — because hair grows in cycles and only follicles in the active growth phase respond to each treatment. Modern devices like the one used at 416Skin are safe for a wide range of skin tones, but a consultation and patch test are strongly recommended so we can confirm settings, screen for medications and conditions that affect light sensitivity (some acne medications, certain herbal supplements, recent sun exposure, photosensitizing skincare actives), and set realistic expectations. Your 416Skin practitioner will design a session schedule and aftercare plan tailored to you.
What can I expect before my initial appointment or treatment?
Your experience begins with a one-on-one consultation, where your practitioner will assess your needs and discuss your goals. You will then receive clear, professional guidance on how to prepare for your treatment, including instructions on how to undress (if required), ensuring your comfort, privacy, and relaxation at all times.
More detail Hide detail
Before stepping into the treatment room, your practitioner reviews your completed intake form, asks a few clarifying questions, and confirms what to expect during each step — how long the session will take, any sensations to anticipate, and what aftercare will look like. You'll also receive guidance on changing, draping, and what's appropriate to remove for the specific service. After the session, your practitioner walks you through aftercare instructions, recommends any at-home products that support the result, and books your follow-up if it's the right time. Throughout, your comfort, privacy, and ability to ask questions are the priority at 416Skin.
Do you offer beauty or treatment packages?
Yes, we offer bespoke treatment packages designed to enhance your results while providing exceptional value. Each package is thoughtfully curated based on your individual needs and goals. We invite you to consult with your practitioner to create a customized plan tailored specifically to you.

Common examples include 6-session body contouring programs with paired RF tightening, quarterly facial subscriptions for ongoing skin maintenance, and wedding-prep multi-treatment plans timed to your event date. We also build small bridal-party and group packages on request. Package pricing and any included add-ons (a complimentary brow shape, a Dermalogica product credit, etc.) are discussed during your consultation so you know exactly what's included before committing. Packages are non-transferable and have a 12-month expiry from purchase. The team at 416Skin will design a plan that fits your goals, your timeline, and your budget.
Is your salon wheelchair accessible?
At this time, our boutique studio is not wheelchair accessible. Access to our location requires climbing two flights of stairs, as there is no elevator available. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

We recognize this is an important consideration when choosing a studio. If you have specific mobility needs but are interested in our services, please reach out at 647-373-0575 — depending on the treatment, we may be able to suggest alternatives, recommend trusted local practitioners with fully accessible spaces, or accommodate certain consultations remotely. We are committed to expanding accessibility as the studio grows and will update this policy when our space supports it. We're grateful you're considering 416Skin and want to be transparent about what's possible today so you can make the best decision for your visit.
Do you have a female massage therapist or RMT available?
At present, we do not have a female therapist or Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) on our team. However, we are committed to growing and evolving our services, and we look forward to expanding our team in the future to better accommodate client preferences.

Our current massage practitioner is male and has years of experience delivering deep tissue, Swedish, lymphatic drainage, and relaxation modalities. All sessions take place in a private treatment room with full draping and the standard professional protocols you'd expect at any reputable studio. We understand that practitioner gender preference is personal and important. If a female practitioner is essential for you, we're glad to refer you to trusted local female RMTs in the Corso Italia neighborhood. If you'd like to discuss what your session would look like with our current therapist, call or text 416Skin at 647-373-0575.
How do I book a certificate training course?

The waxing certification track runs across two courses: Professional Waxing Certification (3 days, foundational technique on face and body) and Advanced Waxing Certification (3 days, Brazilian and Manzilian technique for graduates of the foundational course). Cohorts are intentionally small so every student gets hands-on time with the instructor. Reach out at 647-373-0575 or via the contact form to ask about the next 416Skin Academy waxing certification cohort, or visit /services/academy/ for the full course outline.
